Handsome Art Deco lion figure attributed to Saint Clement, France around 1930, 1940.
Powerfully modelled with all-over glossy green glaze, popular in late Art Deco years. Unsigned.
The all-over glossy green glaze was popular in late Art Deco pieces.
It’s a big beast at 18 inches / 45cm long and 7.25 inches / 18cm high.
Note: minuscule graze on a front paw and a tiny glaze pucker on the back, not affecting display.
