Art Deco vase by LEUNE in enamelled glass vase, c1925
A LEUNE Art Deco vase in enamelled glass, made in Paris from around 1925.
An exquisite little vase with a long neck and body, entirely hand decorated in hot enamel in two shades of blue with small pink flowers and yellow flashes. Unsigned but typical in all respects to the art glass made by Leune in its Paris atelier around 1925 (more about Leune here).
The blue crackle-and-flower pattern is quite rare and we have only ever seen it on full sized vases. The shape, too, is typical of Leune, again, usually seen in vases of around 12 inches. Delightful piece of French Art Deco glass.
Height 8 inches / 20cm
Width 3 inches /8cm
Very good condition. No chips or cracks. There is a very small unglazed spot on the neck which dates from fabrication.
