Hertha Bengtson coffee service for Thomas / Rosenthal 1970s
A Hertha Bengtson coffee service made by Thomas / Rosenthal, Germany.
The shape is Kiruna and the pattern is Mohnblüte (Poppy), one of a handful of designs by the Swedish designer, Hertha Bengston (1917-1993) for the Thomas porcelain factory. Very stylish and quite a rarity.
There are 6 cups and saucers, a coffee pot, a milk jug and a covered sugar bowl.
The coffee pot is 7 ¾ inches / 20 cm high and the coffee cans are 2 ½ inches / 6.5cm high.
Signed underneath.
This lovely, rare service is in excellent condition with no damage or flaws.
