19thc French bevelled glass reliquary or jewel box made of bevelled glass with gilt metal frame, upholstered in yellow-gold silk, c1850-90.
Length, Width 3.5 inches x 2.5 inches – 9cm x 6.5cm
Height 2.75 inches / 7cm
The boxes were popular from the time of Napoleon III through to the 1900s, when they more often featured tinted souvenir scenes.
