Pierre D’Avesn Daum Art Deco Scroll Handle Vase
A very heavy Pierre D’Avesn Daum Art Deco vase with massive scrolled handles and deep acid-etched motifs.
It was designed around 1925 for Daum by Pierre D’Avesn. The designer worked for many of the great French glass makers of the period, including Lalique. Sometimes signing under his own name, sometimes not, D’Avesn really captured the essence of Art Deco in glass – and continued to create well into the post-war years.
We currently have two variations on this vase and they’re both beauties.
Width 9 ½ inches / 24cm
Height 7 ¼ inches / 18.5cm
Condition is almost perfect, tiny nick along the edge, barely perceptible.
