Peynaud Art Deco globe vase with gazelles
A Peynaud Art Deco vase in acid etched glass with a leaping gazelle design in cobalt blue c1930.
This is an exceptional piece from the studio of Jean-Simon Peynaud (1869-1952) who worked at the Vieillard factory in Bordeaux before setting up his own studio. Active until around 1935, Peynaud used a variety of techniques including frosting, acid-etching and fired enamel, all of which can be seen in this very stylish vase.
Signed Peynaud on the glass.

Excellent condition.There’s a small irregularity from manufacture in the bottom fo the vase. Minor and does not detract in any way.
