Louis Lourioux enamelled globe vase
A rare Louis Lourioux French art pottery boule vase from around 1920.
Lourioux (1874-1930) was famous for his originality of his shapes and enamels during the Art Deco period. This vase was made during the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. It’s decorated with blue enamel cabochon relief on an ochre background.
The vase is signed with two wings mark on the base, one of several signatures used by the ceramist.
Height 15cm / 6 inches
In excellent condition. No blemishes , damage or restoration.
