Large Charles Lemanceau Odyv Art Deco sculpture of hunting dogs
A magnificent Charles Lemanceau sculpture of hunting dogs designed for Odyv. It is from around 1930.
In faience, glazed glossy black.
Signed “Lemone”, one of several pseudonyms used by Lemanceau. The base is embossed with the Odyv trademark, which the Berlot-Mussier factory used between 1927 and 1940 for high Art Deco faience. This odd name was a contraction of ODette and YVonne, the two young daughters of the family.
