Magnificent Fernand Carpent Art Deco stoneware vase made in Bouffioulx, Belgium.
A very large baluster vase with a beautiful, predominantly blue glaze by a noted Belgian ceramist. It is signed and numbered on the base.

In very good condition. There is a small chip to the base (see photo) but it is lost in the marbled glaze.
Fernand Carpent (1899-1962) trained under Edgard Aubry, working at the Chatelet and Bouffioulx potteries, forging his own distinctive style. The vase is in stoneware with a beautiful dark blue and toffee glaze.
