Ciboure Jorraila stoneware vase
A Ciboure Jorraila stoneware vase in glazed etched pottery from the 1950s.
This attractive miniature globe vase is part of a series by Rodolphe and Suzanne Fischer. It was inspired by the traditional iconography seen in the Basque Museum in Bayonne.
These striking pieces were first incised by the decorator, fired for a first time, then enamelled then given a second firing at a high temperature. A lovely piece cabinet piece in excellent condition.
