A Betschdorf Art Deco globe lamp signed Hubert Krumeich-Renny, Alsace, 1930s
In cobalt blue glazed stoneware, a speciality of Alsace, with blue-grey geometric motifs. Light shade not included.
Hubert Krumeich-Remmy (1872-1944) was one of the most important stoneware potters in Betschdorf. After studying at the Strasbourg school of Decorative Arts, he was the first to produce art pottery inspired by traditional Alsatian stoneware.
